The year that roled by ….. can not be easily described in one word. “Outlook” described it as “T.G.I.O.” –
Thank God It is Over. Was it worst year in India’s History? – Not sure. We are all looking forward to “ Common Minimum Programme of
optimism” I am with you….. For us, in Professional
Training and Development activities and new research initiatives, it was year of further experimentation.

3) Faculty News
a) Dr. S.G.Bapat has been elected (unopposed) as Vice President (Western Region) Indian Society For Training and Development . Visited USA (April – Sept 2008)
b) Mr. A.G.Basargekar visited Europe (Aug-Sept 2008) and also involved in writing a script on German Economy – Lessons for India.
c) Wg. Comdr. Ramesh Joag visited Australia. He is busy with his hobby of painting and reading.
d) Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar as Resource Person visited Hyderabad, Calcutta, Banglore and other centers. Guided Corporate Employees on various management aspects, on behalf of Symbiosis Center of Distance Learning. Also guides Ph.D. students of Tilak Maharashtra University.
e) Shri. Sadanand Apte published series of articles in Daily Sakal, Chinchwad edition on “Personality Development”.
f) Prof. A.M. Joshi is busy in conducting sessions for Naralkar Institute of Management, Symbiosis Institute of Health Management etc. He also conducts sessions for Bank Officers.
g) Mr. Suresh Gokhale deserves special congratulations for designing and implementing a novel training programme: “Creating Tomorrow’s Managers Today”. It covers sessions like Dr. Manmohan Singh’s Model, JRD Tata to Ratan Tata, Jack Welch, Bill Gates and Ambanies. He uses high tech. methods (use of clippings, audio-video aids etc.)
h) Mr. N.K. Gune is busy with various Engineering Colleges and Management Institutes. His new book in Marathi is received very well, viz ‘japanaI ifina@sa’ ³raYT/o samaqa- kSaI JaalaI – pustk pihlao´ Price Rs. 180/-
4) Ph.D. Awarded
Pune University awarded Ph.D. in Management to my student Mr. Mohan V. Uchgaonkar for his thesis on “A Study of Performance Appraisal Systems & Practices followed in selected organizations with reference to supervisory and Managerial Level. We wish him all the best in his career.

March 2009
1) Business Ethics Survey was conducted for selected employees of Emerson Exports Engineering and report was submitted to Management.
2) Visit to ISTD Baroda Chapter on March 15 -16, 2009. Also visit to Baroda Productivity Council and Ramkrishna Math.
3) Preparation for International Convention on Business Ethics Scheduled on Dec 3-4-5, 2009 are in progress. Dr. Rick Keller has confirmed his participation.
